Tipperary Boutique Distillery have released their first gin, distilled on the family farm at Ballindoney, Grange, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
This farmhouse gin is distilled in Brigid (one of the copper pot stills) by Jennifer Nickerson, manager of Tipperary Boutique Distillery.
Gin recipes are prepared by Jennifer Nickerson’s mother in her kitchen on a tiny trial still, and Jennifer carefully scales these up and hand measures each botanical.
Every batch of Tipperary gin is unique, handcrafted with love in the boutique stillhouse.
Tasting Notes
Along with strong juniper notes, this first gin is very citrus-forward, sweet and heady, perfect for heralding spring.
It uses an unusually high volume of botanicals which, combined with a lack of chill filtration, causes a beautiful pearlescent cloud to appear when ice or tonic is added.
Our perfect G&T is made with a tall glass of ice, premium tonic water, and a curl of orange peel or a slice of grapefruit.
